I also learned my neglected tortilla press is a great way to improve my prints until I can make a dedicated press.
It took a few tries to find out that the best place on the press is closest to the hinge. Then again, I am printing on a stack of post it notes. I'm not sure this is an ideal printing situation.
I have made use of some scrap linoleum I had in my vicinity.
